World Islamic Mission (WIM) is an international organization founded in the Holy city of Makkat-ul-Mukarrama in 1972 by the famous Muslim scholar and missionary, His Eminence Maulana Shah Ahmad Noorani Siddiqui Al Qaderi RA.
The purpose of World Islamic Mission is to simply unite Muslims to work for the cause of Islam and to propagate Islam as a religion of peace and love. Since its formation, through the exemplary leadership of Maulana Shah Ahmad Noorani Siddiqui RA, WIM has been playing a leading role in the development of Islam in many countries around the world including UK, Holland, Norway, Pakistan, India, Mauritius, Canada, USA, Germany, Denmark, Kenya and Australia. Some of its activities include: Da’wah, construction of mosques and schools, publishing and distributing of the Holy Qur’an, organizing conferences around the world to deal with the issues affecting Islam, and, most importantly, providing guidance and spiritual training to Muslims of all ages so that they may truly understand the religion of Islam and their purpose of existence.
With the strong conviction of serving only Allah the Almighty and with the ultimate allegiance to the Holy Prophet Muhammad Sallallaahu alayhi wa Sallam, WIM began its quest in Canada in 1989 to inspire and educate Muslims of all ages. Since then WIM Canada (a registered charitable organization) has become well known for organizing various Islamic conferences across Canada. Highly respected and prominent scholars from all over the world congregate to impart their knowledge to the Muslims of Canada.
Allah the Almighty has shown his blessings once again , when World Islamic Mission Canada acquired 11 acres of land. These 11 acres of land acquired is suitable to cater for the basic human needs of Muslims within the community, the project has a number of key components.
WIM Canada unveiled the design of Masjid Noor-ul-Haram on August 29, 2008.This architectural landmark will be built on an 11 acre land located at 2478 Ninth line, Oakville which conveniently sits on the border of Mississauga and Oakville. This new Masjid will cater for about 1000 people. The design of the new Masjid will combine both traditional and modern architecture and it will be a pride for the Muslim community in Canada.
